I tried to move some limit through a phone call 6 weeks or so ago and it went nowhere. No letter, no denial no message, the request went into the void. The rep said they "do it all the time" but perhaps he never submitted it. I wanted to move $20k to my Flagship from my CB.
I suppose a secure message is worth another shot.
I called in today to receive a payoff amount and the CSR said she saw that I submitted a request for the account combination and that department is really backed up, so not to expect to hear anything for at least a week. Just FYI for anyone else who may have submitted a request.
UPDATE: I ended up calling in to cancel/adjust the request. I panicked after I realized that card is my oldest tradeline and didn't want to close it or really mess with it at all. The rep told me they already made a decision and were unable to process my request, so I guess it all worked out for the moment.
