well, humpty-dumpty. i was just approved for an AMEX Delta at $2,000 limit.
bummer. I thought that after boa amex slaped me with 500 limit, I wasn't gonna get a good deal. i guess it pays to inquire. I got like 10 within the past 2 weeks already.

Re: What can I get with these scores?

UPDATE :
I called the BOFA today ( they ran an inquiry this morning on me with TU  - my best scroe of all 3 ) and they upped the limit on my BOFA AMEX Rewards to  a $1,000. So I guess it's been worth the phone calls I made to BOFA.
Thanks to all who reads and replies to my posts.

I also got APPROVED for $2,000 limit AMEX GOLD DELTA today.

They said at BOFA that it's their own money they put up for the limit and not the AMEX. Hence the tight lending standards.

Re: What can I get with these scores?

UPDATE:

Just called the number on the back of my new Delta Skymiles card and converted to AMEX Blue Cash. Same terms as Delta Skymiles ( APR, CL, etc.). I told them about our forum so that their supervisors will read that we may cancel AMEX cards upon FR fairy knocking on our doors. I think if more people show them that we won't tolerate FR, they will take a notice and ease up on cardmembers in good standing.

Re: What can I get with these scores?

way to go on the conversion. i really want a blue myself.

as far as the fr thing they can bring it. i have been through so many background (local, state, federal, and who knows what else) checks, polygraphs, and voice stress analysis's that i am very careful how i answer document things. the worst they can do is freeze my account for a couple of days, or cancel all together (amex isn't even my 4th largest cl).

i'm not sure about your turning over our secret society to the man though. looks like we're all going to have to start typing in code.

Re: What can I get with these scores?

They have to know that we are not going to tolerate the credit freeze and demand for tax records. As for me, I wll pass FR no problem. The question is: if my income is middle six figures and they gave me a $2,000 credit card, should I even bother signing over private information? It's not like they give mortgage, even then people have no doc loans. I understand what they're doing as I am a banker myself, BUT....my VISA and MC have never done what AMEX is doing. Do you see my position now?

i totally understand (and agree), but i'm not going to sweat it either.

i'll even give you an example. once we applied for a mortage and they wanted the last three months bank statements. sure i gave it to them, but took a black marker and obscured every purchase transaction. they had no need knowing what and where i spent money on. however, they did have an intrest in confirming i had a bank account, not overdrwaing it, and had an income deposting into it.

if all amex wants is tax information, let 'em read till thier red eyed. all i can say is i'm glad i don't have that job at amex.

Re: What can I get with these scores?

It's like someone else said on these forums (might have been fused, brammy, or noah) can't remember.  AMEX asking us for our financials to determine if we are suitable to do business with is going too far.

We could turn it around and ask an AMEX CSR for the CCCs financials so that we know that we are doing business with a reputable company that's going to be around for a while and has our back when we need them.  I'm sure they would get those financials out in the mail first thing Monday morning.  Yeah right!Smiley Surprised
