Been waiting patiently for January to roll around to apply for Amex Delta and Amex Blue Cash Preferred. Yay for backdating. Hope I get at least one of them...

Good luck to all in 2012.

Since I'm on "re-building credit" mode... I plan on applying for two CCs at the beginning of the year. Probably one secured and the other unsecured, then I'll let the year go by and apply for two prime cards towards the end of 2012 (but that'll depend on how much of a score boost I get throughout the year)

I'd love to apply for Target REDcard as well since I already save 10% thru employee discount (from family member) I wouldn't mind an extra 5%! Smiley Happy

Whenever you apply, by all means apply for the Target card first once you get your scores up.  Target hates inquiries.

Re: What card are you going to app for in 2012?

Hey All!  Happy New Year!

In June of 2012, I am apping for the Amex BCP.  I need a really good rewards card and I don't care for the rotating categories of other lenders.  Nice thing about Amex is that it's backdated to 1989 for me.  Sweet!

I'm apping for a house the beginning of 2013 so shouldn't hurt me to have that inquiry on my CR.  I least I think I'm right on this.

Good Luck all on your credit quest for 2012.  Smiley Happy

Re: What card are you going to app for in 2012?

None.  Between Chase Freedom and Amex BCP I have my bases covered for daily usage.  I plan on buying a house in the spring and may go for a Lowes card and/or furniture store financing for some 0% new house additions.(Think furniture and washer/dryer)  As far as pure credit cards I have not plans on adding anything.

Re: What card are you going to app for in 2012?

None.  I'm going to work on CLI's on all current products.

I will, however, PC my Amex gold to Platinum and BCE to BCP.
