We filed for bankruptcy chapter 7 it was discharged in august 2011.... I was approved for a cap one card with a 300.00 limit as was my husband he was also a approved for orchard bank with a 300.00 limit they denied me.... OUr scores our in the low to mid 500's any suggestions would be great. I would like just one more that way we each have 2
I personally would hold onto the capital one card for 4-6 months and then apply for an additional one through them. I know I just posted nastiness about capital one but YMMV.

Until you're in the high 500s ot low 600s, I might just hang on to what you have since Orchard Bank isn't biting. The only other option you might try would be Credit One bank ($75 AF, but not a terrible option for a credit rebuilder...has a preapproval site). Just steer clear of First Premium and their $175 annual fee (with a whopping $500-700 limit!) and 36% APR...worst in class IMHO.
THANKS CREDIT CRUSADER... CREDIT ONE PROB WON'T APPROVE ME BECAUSE THEY WERE IN OUR BK.... OH WELL... HOW DO I GET ALL OF MY FICO SCORES NOT FAKO
My FICO scores are around 525 and I was just declined from Credit One, but I was approved by Crown Jewelers https://www.crownjewelers.com/Application.asp
I wonder if Crown Jewelers reports to the Credit agencies.

CJ hasn't reported to any of the bureaus for a couple of years now...maybe try Fingerhut or JC Penney?
Thank you for your response. Maybe I can use CJ as a credit reference even though they do not report to the CRA's.
I applied to Fingerhut and was declined. I will try JC Penny. I am not sure why they are declining me and approving others with a lower FICO.
don't get too app happy...they will starting throwing that in as a reason for their decline.
IMHO, I think you should sit tight with what you have and just give it a few months. I know how exciting it is to get back into the credit world, but you don't want to end up making the same mistakes ya know?
just my 2 cents
I agree sit tight even though it maybe hard
Try to get a n Aventium credit card...300 CL with about 75.00 yearly....if you start paying on time and pay the full amount every month...it will help a lot like it helped me.
