I got approved for the AOD card yesterday and it is my first CC in 5 years. I plan on using that card to put a down payment on a car purchase later at the end of this month and will possibly be taking a car loan.
That said, I plan on getting either the Altitude Go or the Affinity, I'm not sure which card I should go with first, but probably the more inquiry sensitive one first. And then down the line the U.S. Bank Cash+ or the Elan Max Cash. I'm trying to find out the best course of action, like when is the earliest I should apply for either the Altitude Go or the Affinity after taking out a car loan. And the length of time I should wait before applying for the other one. Any advice?
US Bank will be most sensitive. Unless a very strong profile, they'll deny at 2 or more new accounts. Elan is a subsidiary of US Bank, some DP show less sensitive, but not tons of DP. If AOD is only new card, I'd choose the most useful US Bank choice before anything else.

I have two 3% cards, and find that I use them for everything.
The 4% and 5% aren't as profitable for my spend as they were when my general was 1.5% or 2%
I have been closing 4% and even my Cash+ is on the chopping block for next month.
Might want to test out 3% and calculate if a 4 or 5 is worth it.
* Just for info the Cash+ has been a good card and would recommend *
