We are in the same situation.  What are your scores?  Mine are

TU:  667
EX:  646
EQ:  626

I think I have a chance for the Blue, but from my understanding it takes more for the Clear.

Starting Score: 583 EQ, 612 EX, 569 TU
Current Score: 658 EQ, 648 EX, 618 TU
Goal Score: 720 EQ, 720 EX, 720 TU

Re: What card to get???

You can request it by calling the number on the BACK of the card, not the activation number. Just ask CSR what card can you convert to that has no anual fee. If they don't say you qualify for CLEAR, ask how can you qualify. You will get Blue for sure.

Good luck.

Re: What card to get???

You can get Delta Skymiles Gold first. Then you can convert. Try for blue right now and you may not be approved. If they give you a card with at least $2,000 limit, you can convert to Blue. I just did it myself. Got a Blue Cash. However, if you have the limit of at least $4,000 then you should be able to convert to Clear ( depends on you FICO though ).

Good luck all.

Re: What card to get???

How is Clear more Prime than Blue? I really don't see anything special about Clear, except that it's essentially 1% cashback ($25 back per $2500 spent), and there are a lot of other cards out there that match and beat a flat 1% cashback. Or am I just missing something?

Starting Score: EQ 773, TU 766
Current Score (2/25/2017): EX 813, EQ 823, TU 818
Goal Score: 800

Generally, Blue is harder to get than Clear. However Clear has none of these fees which makes it very attractive to some:

ANNUAL FEE

LATE FEES

OVER-LIMIT FEES

BALANCE TRANSFER FEES

CASH ADVANCE FEES

FEES OF ANY KIND
