Lol true, imagine if credit ratings stopped mattering to Rent and utility companies. They'd find their profits significantly lower.

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

I do a lot of shopping online so I'm sure I'll put a significant spend on Freedom, Discover ( his and hers) and the rest I'll play by ear.

You know, I plan on app'ing for Amex in Nov/Dec of 2014. Maybe I will either replace them with Discover or just app for both. I just really don't want to be that guy with a crazy amount of cards

Really depends. For me its going to be cash+, freedom and IT until the caps are maxed out. I'm in the process of getting some new cards too so there will be quite a bit of minimum spending to meet.
