I use my $200 secured card because I can easily pay it in full with a week's pay. Smiley Wink

I feel like some people (everyone is different Smiley Happy) can benefit from having small-limit credit cards. Smiley Happy

I may be completely off, but I honestly believe the majority of people on this forum would spend considerably less if you took a "0" or two off their overall credit lines.

Re: What credit cards do you actually use and why?

Discover It: still in my first year so I use daily for double cash back. Last quarter was heavy for restaurants.

PNC Cash Rewards: 4% gas station, 3% restaurants, 2% grocery stores. I bank with PNC so the card is super convienent, it’s also my lowest interest rate.

Amex BCE & ED: BCE for supermarkets and department stores. ED Currently has 0% so it’s on reserve for large purchase swipes.

Target/Amazon Prime: 5% respectively.

I still need to work a travel card in there, but travel is back burner for me seeing as I travel once a year, if that.

@cmh1990

The cards you have are on my wishlist. I’m looking for a good travel card to but I’m not familiar with flyer miles or points so until I know better I think the Uber credit card will have to be my travel card with 3% cash back on travel expenses. Cashback is all I know for now lol

Re: What credit cards do you actually use and why?

Constantly switching this up but right now:

- Discover for Amazon and Bj's this quarter 5%. Also first year so various other non category spend for cashback match 2%

- Amex BCP for gas 3% and 6% groceries. Nothing else.

- Uber Visa for cell phone bill (saves me insurance $12/mo), restaurants 4%, online purchases 2% and finally cable and power bills (first 5k is essentially 2% with $50 subscription credit)

- AMEX Gold ... Honestly I had stopped using this card but with the recent changes I'll start putting some restaurant and grocery (4 points) spend on here wich will help utilization on my BCE and Uber. I also use for any travel and choice hotels credit ($75) and $100 southwest credit. NOW $10/month dining credit .... Already used this month's at shake shack last week

- Quicksilver 1.5% used only for a big purchase that doesn't fall under any other category. Or if amex/discover isnt taken. (Only my hair salon 🙄)

- SDFCU used rare occasion when i have a charge i don't want to or can't pay off right away. Only 1% cb but interst is like 7%

Re: What credit cards do you actually use and why?

I use my:

MP Explorer card for UA purchases only

Amex card for supermarket purchases only (not Walmart because that isn't on the 3% list)

Sapphire Preferred for everything else

Re: What credit cards do you actually use and why?

I use my CU 2% cashback (love the cash) card as my main card and my Chevron (my oldest) card for gas.  All other cards sit idle.  They recently closed my World Sams card for lack of use.  1st time I had a card closed other then being in DMP.
