I traded in my feedom card for the SB card and in the short side of things I should have kept the freedom earning me 3% at top 3 things vs just 3% at SB.  I use it exclusively for SB though so it's cool there and nice looking card but kind of blah having to set up a reload to the starbucks card vs visa to earn your full 3%.

and I believe there have been people recently getting recon. on appications with old bk and getting approved.

Does SB fall into the "quick-service restaurants" category on the Freedom Card?  Just curious.

it's funny that this was a thread yesterday... got home last night and had a post card from starbucks or chase I don't know, saying thanks for using your starbucks duetto card, within the next week we will credit your starbucks card with $10.40 for your rewards!
I pretty much ONLY use the card for starbucks, so that sounds like pretty decent money back to me!
maybe I drink to much Starbucks, not sure though!

What kind of drugs are they putting in the stuff? We've been discussing my dumping the Starbucks habit (in my defense, this has been a daily habit of atleast 7 YEARS!) a lot lately and I keep saying I will cut back or will stop buying them soon.   I drove there late this morning to get my daily fix and looped through the parking lot and left...but as soon as I finish this message, I'm going back. So not only did it cost me the regular $4.31, but now a buck or so in gas too! Smiley Mad

I really should have app'ed for the Starbucks card instead of the PenFed & Chase I just picked up, because I'd probably get more in rewards. I wonder if Starbucks is considered for any of the categories on my Chase Freedom? Atleast I could get 3% from that. Probably not, though...Smiley Sad

I gave up Starbucks in order to justify spending money here, at myFico.  Of course, this went out the window when I was on vacation.  But c'mon, I was ON vacation!  Smiley Happy  I obviously didn't have daily access to my beloved Senseo machine!

That's a good trade. Certainly more productive use of the $$$ than drinking it away! Everyone breaks the rules on vacation, so you're alright i think!  Starbucks should have fine print all all their cups...

LOLOL!   Very cute!  I weened myself off full-fat mochas a few years ago.  Today I'm a very boring non-fat no-foam vanilla latte.  I have a 24 hr Starbucks w/ a drive-thru within 3 miles of my house.  It could have been very dangerous.

Before I come across as sounding holier-than-thou or something I HAVE been known to get an iced mocha, 2 percent, no-whip.  (I don't like whipped cream, period -- so that's one's easy.)  Yum.

Can you also offer me a free pass from paying off my vacation?  I think I should have earned double points for boosting the economy!  Smiley Wink

Haha.  I am a victim of the iced mocha!!  I tried the non-fat, blech! Not worth it. Maybe 2% wouldn't be so bad. Whipped cream is a must for me, I wish I didn't like it!

Sorry I can't get you a free pass on your vacation...if I could I would!

I just re-read a few posts up and maybe I'm not so bad off having my Chase Freedom as opposed to the Starbucks card, sounds like a real hassle. Though still not sure if it classifies in any of the categories.  When they give you the statement it doesn't break down what the rewards are from, just gives a total....

Back in my 'heavy drinking days' I drooled over that card.  I remember having the application in my handbag just so I could be inspired by it -- better credit = better card.  Now?  Not so much.  I'm aiming a little higher these days!  LOL.

Yeah, seriously, after taking a glance at their website, the SB card doesn't seem very appealing at all.
