If you are getting Congrats we found these offers for you then you are basically approved... just APPLY!

Seriously?

This is what I got:

"Congratulations! We think you'll like this pre-qualified card offer."

  • Quicksilver
  • VentureOne
  • Platinum Prestige

The Quicksilver is super easy to get.

Yeah, but I only want it if I have a shot at a 5K+ limit.

Hey, I wanted to ask you something.  Sorry to beat a dead horse, but were the 2X points at Walgreens on your Barclays Rewards MC a promotional offer or do you get them all the time?

The thing is have 8 inquiries on EQ, 8 on EX and 5 on TU.  4 on EQ, 4 on EX, and 4 on TU will hit the 1-year mark between 9/18 and 10/12.  Should I wait till then to apply?  I also want to get either the Barclay Rewards MC or the Sallie Mae MC.

...with a 5K+ limit?

  • 0 apps on any CRA?
  • 3+ years with a card with 5K+ CL?
  • Spotless payment history?
  • AAoA over 4 years?
  • 1% utilization?
  • 760+ FICO?

Anybody know or care to guess?

I think you should be good enough for the card. Cap 1 pulls all three reports for approval. I got denied due too many inquiries about six months ago. I emailed Cap 1 EO office to recon. I got approved for $3K.  Recently, I got an offer to upgrade to Quicksiver.

Actually,

My profile is more like this:

  • Spotless payment history
  • AAoA over 4 years (4 years and 9 months)
  • under 1% utilization
  • 793 EQ FICO (about a month ago)
  • 4 credit cards with 6K+ limits (6K x 3 and 6.5K) and 1 card with 3.7K CL
  • 4 inquiries on EX, EQ, and TU each (assuming I apply after the other inquiries hit the 1-year mark)

My goal is to get a 5K+ limit (for Signature status)

I still think you should be good enough. Do you have any Cap1 card currently? How many account did you open recently?

Re: What does it take to get a Quicksilver...

You seem to fit their "Excellent Credit" profile, which more often than not means you will have no issue getting a 5K limit. On an important note having a 5K limit usually but not always guarantees signature status. The odds are in your favor, I would go for it. Good luck and let us know how it goes Smiley Happy

Well, your status is a heck of a lot better than mine. And not surprizingly, you did MUCH better on that pre-qualify tool than I did.

They offered me the Quicksilver One. And a Secured card.
