Re: What does this mean from synchrony bank ?

Lol, Well I guess I'll see what happens in the following month with my other cards and see how they react, so they do then I guess I would just start over after all is paid. what do you think if Everything paid and no missed payments but all accounts closed if it goes down that way will it be hard or low limits when I try for a card like Barclay Amex? I'd still have that history of payments though

Re: What does this mean from synchrony bank ?

Got it all on interest promotion , and had no problem paying it off before it expires. So it wasn't a big deal for me. but I'll have it paid of in 3 months. Thank you everyone.

Re: What does this mean from synchrony bank ?

Do you know if synchrony bank cancels the interest promotions when account gets closed or does it keep going until paid or expired?

The promotional rate should remain in effect.

However, on a related note, be sure to pay your sync card bills extra early to ensure payments arrive timely. Afterwards, double-check your balances reflects payments being applied correctly. 6 months deferred interest on $15K at 25-29% APR, which is typical for many, could be much as $2,000.

To digress a bit, your experience being locked out illustrates another hazard, for those who opt-in, of on-line e-statements. Maybe Sync continues to send e-statements afterwards, but without being able to login, presumably one can't view older statements nor easily pay on-line.
