I totally forgot CRAP1 Yeah better forgotten anyway but their so-called flagship partner card with GM as a World Elite MC is been stalled out at $600 limit since approved last October
In June i tapped into their EO resource to plead ever so nicely for a CLI w/HP and what do you get in return for that effort? A BIG FAT DENIAL
How do you hang on to a Mastercard World Elite when they refuse to budge up off a paltry $600 while other lenders are dropping 5K SL's! and 2K+ CLI's?
I am completely awash in frustration with C1 as a lender. I thought surely they were bigger then this. Instead of a Big Disappointment. Ugh
Credit Magic I find your case with Cap1 interesting. They throw 3k in my lap out of the blue over and above the fact that I burned them for 3k in my BK. Mind you my chap7 was disch in July. Although I have to say prior to burning them, I was never late , not once with them and I had the card since 2004. In that time I only asked for one CLI from my original 1500 to the 3k limit they gave. But I still still burned them.
Is there perhaps something else on your reports that they just dont like or could be hesitant about ?

Yes there is! (2) Prime competitor bank CC's that started me out both at 5K+ but months before CLI request. Mind you i kept history on those UTIL at bare minimum <20% when not 0%. Add to that after junky CRAP1 burned & wasted a perfectly good HP for absolutely nothing via even their EO the following month was approved for both Chase & Barclay's with similar nice SL's BOTH!
Cap1 has left me the impression that they simply are just not compatible for the type of profile and expectations that i've come to expect and have experienced with all the other lenders in this field. Which is better to find this out now then later i suppose.
Anyone else have any similar experiences with them? I can't possibly be the only one.

Yes CreditMajic....you are not alone. sCrap1 has showed me no love in the almost three years I have been dealing with them. I closed a secured card with them this past June that I had for two years as I had secured it with $2500 and no reciprocation in the form of a CLI on that card or the QS I opened last November with a paltry SL of $750. I even tried applying for another card in July, a QS and they approved it wih a SL of a generous (sarcasm) $300. I never activated the card and told them ok requested that the account be removed from my credit report- they agreed to do that. There was is no way I want open TL for $300 showing up on my CR at this stage of rebuilding. By the way, I always PIF each month and gave them decent volume.
Conversely, Barclays has kept pace for the most part. I started with $500 in credit with them and it has grown to $9k in the last ten months. They are going to have to do better too. I checked this morning and I have since March put $33k thru their cards, PIF every month. They are going to have to get my CL with them up 2X or 3X at least.

Credit cards with Chase and knowing I have a bankruptcy reporting. Some Myfico members have posted that they have gotten approved for credit cards with Chase (with generous limits I might add) while they had a bankruptcy still reporting by calling their recon line after an initial decline and "explaining" their situation. It sounded far-fetched to begin with but then I thought...why would members make up stuff to post in the forums? So I figured it had to be true so going off of what members had posted, I applied, got declined, called the recon line. Not only was I not given an opportunity to "explain" my situation, I was told that Chase DOES NOT approve ANYONE with a bankruptcy reporting AND they even told me when my bankruptcy was going to drop off and asked me to re-apply after that date. So yeah....sheesh...

Ditto Open123... T-mobile to be exact... both the sales rep and her manager assured me it was a soft pull...got an e-mail notice the next morning saying "You have a new hard inquiry on your credit report.".. logged in and there it was ...T-mobile. I was livid.. because I didn't even really have to go with T-mobile..I had signed up for mobile broadband to have internet at my house and was just exploring options.. shady..
