What is a Visa Signature Card?

Can someone please explain the difference between a Visa and Visa Signature card? I was just approved for the Hilton Honors Signature Visa with a $12,000 limit which I am very happy with. I have seen people talk about the Visa "Siggy" and I feel a little silly not understanding the signifigance. Thank you in advance!!

Th biggest feature of the Signature cards right now is the 2 for 1 Fandango movie tickets.  Rest of the features you'll probably never use but they are listed in the link provided by HF

I love the concierge service. I use it to get reservations at McDonalds and Taco Bell.

Thank you for the info. I have a lot more to learn it seems. Trying to accumulate some good reward cards and when I came across the visa signature card with Hilton, I thought I'd read that people said it was good to have. Of course I had no idea why.

I would love to convert one of my cards to a visa signature. Especially for the extended warranty and the bogo movie tickets.

Is it true that visa signature charges a AF more often than regular visa, and that it requires better credit??? My commerce bank special connections Visa comes in a visa signature. Not sure about the capital one qs.

Many many cards are available in both (including Cap One QS).   In those cases, if the normal card doesn't have an AF, neither will the Visa Sig.   They may require higher credit standards, but sometimes not much.

Some cards, such as CSP, come only in Visa Sig (and others come only in WMC/WEMC) and some of those will have AF, but not because of the Visa Sig

IMO, way too overstressed here, the practical difference for many is small to non-existent.  More the knowledge that there is something "better" out there, so people want it.
