What is considered a high limit card?

My experian report is saying a factor that is lowering my score

is not having a credit card with a high limit. Can anyone tell me

what is the minimum amount to be considered a high limit card?

Is it $1000.00 and above?

That comment isn't related to FICO scoring thankfully. Sounds like it came from a service or CMS that uses an EX FAKO. Ignore the score and advice.

When I first started here, I also thought that high CLs = high scores. I made the correlation because most everyone with a high CL had a high score. One day a poster came along and posted that she had FICOs above 810 for all 3 (this was before EX blocked consumer access to their FICO) but her total CLs for ALL of her CCs were at $1000. She had like 3 CCs and one was $200, one at $300 and one at $400 or something similar to that. That's all she wanted and didn't want any CLIs. Now along with that came 30+ yrs of reported history. But her example taught me that CLs don't matter but it's how you use them that makes the difference.

Re: What is considered a high limit card?

Hes right. High CL dont really effect FICO like other FAKO scores and such. CL really only plays a role when it comes to utilization. I learned a lot from this fourm and it vast knowledge from all of its members. I learned Credit is about history, length, good payments, and Age of accounts. BK & CO are really bad even if paid. Its always good to pay your debts but even if your CO's are paid its still a CO and hurts your chances of getting credit and score.

Re: What is considered a high limit card?

To be honest to all really comes down to personal opinion.

For me anything above $3000 is sufficient enough for me.
