This may be a silly question, but is my taxpayer identifcation # my social security #? I am finishing my paperwork for an Orchard Secured Credit Card and the one page asks for my taxpayer identification # and then I have to check a box that says. " The # shown above is my correct taxpayer identification # (or I am waiting for a number to be issued to me)
Yep. Your tax payer ID number is your social if you're applying for a personal card.
(If you're applying for a business card, you should get a separate ID# for the business...)
