Hi All,
I wanted to know what the highest credit limit you can obtain for the Sam's Club In-store credit card, not the Sams Club Discover. Mine is currently at $8500, I plan on requesting a credit limit increase, but don't know how much to ask for. I don't want to get declined if I ask for too much. I was planning on asking for a $6500 increase for a new credit limit of $15,000. Does anyone know what the limit is? I've read on the forums that $10,000 is the limit for the Sam's Club Discover. Any information will be much appreciated. Thanks.
Mine started at $300 and is now $4100. Took years to get there. I once got a at register offer for their discover card for 7500 so IMHO their Discover card would have a higher CL. LOL if DW saw a CL of 15k on my Sams card I would be so dead.
Yes, the $15,000 is alarming, but I was planning on using the 24 month 0% financing to make a large purchase. Do you know if its possible to get a $15,000 Credit limit. I haven't been able to find anything on the forums about the In-Store Sam's Club max credit limit.
Most I've seen on any GEMB store card is 10k.
Topic several months ago talked about credit lines currently had by members for store and Discover... I know I saw at least $15k...
I wouldn't worry about asking for $15k and getting declined, they will counter!
and you can also talk to underwriting to try for it also if the auto system won't give it.
I asked for $15,000 but was offered $10,000 by the customer service rep. After accepting the counter offer, the service rep. informed me that she pulled a credit report and confirmed that it was a hard pull. Is this normal? I thought it was a soft pull for a credit limit increase for the Sams Club Card. Does anyone know if its a hard or soft? I'm not sure if the service rep. knows what a soft or hard pull is.
Mine started at 300 and is now 4100. All auto CLI and no INQ.
I know that GEMB likes to do a lot of soft pulls on your CR so it is possible it was a soft pull.
If it helps I know that GEMB did lots of soft pulls on my EQ report (I live in Texas) so for peace of mind I would look at your EQ report first.

Wait wait wait. She INFORMED you after words? She didn't ask permission to pull it? I'd be hot!!!!
If you talk to a rep it's typically a HP. The automated phone system does SP though.

How long does it take for the inquiry to show up on the credit report? I just checked my Equifax and Experian, no inquiries so far from GEMB/Sams Club.
