See the thing about Synchrony, is you can keep trying until you get approved for a limit (I think you can even do it the opposite way. Ask for incremental amounts, until you get denied). And even if that doesn't work, you can call Credit Solutions. And the best thing about it, they are all SOFT PULL.
I've had success in both ways with Synch. Opened my Lowe's card in April at $300. A few months later I asked for $1k and got it instantly. Asked again for $5k, granted instantly. Asked a third time for $10k and was countered at $6k. In September I went for a CLI and asked for $15k, was countered at $12k.
If Synch is going to grant an increase, their algorithm knows what it'll give you. If you ask for less, you will be approved on a second try or third try up to that amount. If you ask for more than they'll approve, they'll counter with the max they're willing to go. This is why people say to just shoot for the moon and ask at least $25k so you can get your increase as quickly as possible rather than via several steps.
Yes Synchrony has been good to me started with Walmart store card with cl of 700 dollars back in 2012 got a auto cli to 900 dollars then in 2015 was ask if I wanted Walmart mastercard , was given a starting cl of 6K then over next 4 years increase to credit limit of 18K. So now I have large credit line with Capital one. The only bad thing about the Paypal mastercard is the High intrest rate. Will not carry a balance on paypal mastercard if I go for it. Will see over next couple of years what Capital one will do with Walmart mastercard, Only spend about 250 month and pay it off before it reports.
