Re: What is you strategy for using your credit cards?

Aside from whatever 5% rotating category is active, my strategy is pretty simple.

1.  Ink Plus/Cash - Cell phones, telephone, cable, Office purchases and dining.

2.  Amex Charge for quarterly taxes.

3.  Cash+ for 5% Charity - Operas & Symphonies.

4.  Everything else on SPG or EDP.

5.  Fid Amex for Serve and alternative category purchases.

Of course, usually, I'm cycling a sign-up bonus for several cards per quarter.

Re: What is you strategy for using your credit cards?

Only have a couple right now so it's pretty easy.

Freedom: 5% and everything else. It's my everyday card

Delta Amex: All travel. I travel 3-5 times a year and its almost always Delta. Easy choice.

LOC Visa: Just an occasional purchase to keep it active. Has low interest rate if I need to carry balance.

Macys: If I should need it.

Apping for CSP in the fall the partner with my Freedom. That will be it for awhile. I may get a Discover down the line to add some diversity and a Marriot Rewards Visa looks nice.

Re: What is you strategy for using your credit cards?

Groceries and gas: BCP
Everything else: arrival +

Thinking about getting a csp for dining because we do spend a ton of money there ($250-$500/month) and maybe a freedom or it for bonus categories (probably freedom if I do it for the ur transfer to csp). Not sure I can justify af on csp just for dining though but that bonus is enticing. Also considered sallie Mae for gas up to $250 (spend about $400/month) and possibly any groceries over $500/month (have been spending right at $500 now but could buy some "groceries") plus Amazon (don't shop there a lot except around holidays) but I think that might just be getting too complicated especially for the dw.

What I have is working just fine for me now but I'm sure I'll get the itch for something new soon.

PS any recommendations about the above would be very welcome, I always learn something new here Smiley Happy
