What is your average app spree

Just recently I went into an app spree even though I shouldn't but knowing I have a judgement coming off and one collection I'm goodwilling soon, should be a relief. Recently got approved for Sportsman's for 7k, Overstock's, for 8k and from local FU for 5k. I know I just screwed my AAoA up. Back to gardening. 

Question is, what is your average app spree?

My last app spree was 7 or 8 cards. Got approved for all, but the last few had the lowest limits. Never apping for more than 2 at a time in the future.

Typically i go for 3-5 apps every 6 months or so. Less if we've been auto loan shopping.

Totally agree. While I do have a wish list, I'm not apping for more than two, and preferably just one, every 6 months.  Couple that with an ongoing installment for about 6 years, and the scores should add up quickly.  If something gets nerfed while I wait, maybe something better will come along.

I usually apply for 3 to 4 cards per spree and spree once every six months so 6 to 8 new cards a year. Once my file is thicker I may switch over to apping every three months for 1 to 3 cards.

LOL... are you ever concerned with increasing overall approval of available TLs >$50K in one shot and any of your current lenders taking AA on your current accounts? (i.e. they perform standard/monthly AR and see that you've increased the # of TLs by two-fold and high CLs).

I've only had one app spree... It was in May. I got BofA, Freedom, CSP, BCE, Discover, Sallie Mae.

The cards I use for bonus rewards generally don't stay open for long, particularly Citi HHonors cards.  Churn & burn!
