Re: What is your trophy card(s)?

Don't really have a card I crave or consider it a trophy. I guess there are some cards I would get as a sign of achievement and personal financial responsibility, but I can't name one. I'm trying to see CC as merely a tool. Nothingmore and nothingless. They are not the end all be all. They serve a role in our society and system, but they do not define who I am. Neither does my Fico score. But I am mindful of both and how important they are to successfully navigating in our system.

I don't want to be defined by the cards I have, nor the cards I don't have. I know there are cards I could have or have had, but I have chosen not to apply. I want to keep a balanced perspective on CCs, debt, Fico scores etc.

Excellent post. We sometimes get so caught up in cards that we forget that really, it's not the end all be all, like you said.

There are a couple cards I wish I'd gone for when they were available, but guess what? It's not the end of the world and not even important in the grand scheme of life. If one manages their debt well, they will have a good score, which allows you to get a house and/or car or whatever your goal is. Beyond that, there is no need to obsess about your score.

mmmm me too!  i dont think its anything to do with the area. I have tried loading their app page in different states, no dice. I think its because they are revamping things or something. Who knows....

KDM, love ya to death, I feel like we agree on nearly everything... but yeah...lol if I had a 15k amex and a 10k doublecash, I would probably be a little nonchalant like you are too.  Hehe no offense!

Re: What is your trophy card(s)?

Amex BCE. I remember telling my brother that I feel like a real grown-up now because I finally had an American Express card. Smiley Very Happy The only card I desire to have now is the Citi DC, but that is only once the double deal expires on Discover. I think Amex will always be my trophy.
