I have 3 chase cc's but wasnt sure what they base them off of. I applied for the Sapphire Preffered and read that they usually dont approve below 700? My current scores are 664/677/694. Do they use their own scoring or is it what i see?
I have 11 collections from medical bills as my daughter went through luekemia treatment about 4 years ago. I paid all of them in full now but i know it still hurts my credit. I have 18 accounts and 1 loan at the moment. 6% util. My average age of credit is 3 years.
Freedom is $6700 24% interest
slate is 2400 24% interest
Sapphire is 9700 15.9% interest
Thanks in advance
Chase usually uses FICO8
They also have their own internal score model, I'd think already having accounts with them influences that, and may play in your favor
Ah ok. Thank you for the reply!

? Are you saying that you were approved for the Sapphire Preferred with a $9700 SL?
Or did you already hold 3 Chase cards including a no-AF Sapphire that you had previously PC'd to from a CSP or CSR, and you just applied for a CSP?

I'm pretty sure they use FICO 8.

On my Chase Credit Journey it shows EX Vantage 3.0, but I'm not sure if that is what they used to pull my application or not a few years back but of course things could have changed but Currently online the Credit Journey shows EX Vantage 3.0 ![]()

They don't use that to make actual credit decisions.
By default they HP Experian FICO8 and also apply the data to their own internal propietary algorithm but they have also been known to also HP from a 2nd CRA.
Yes i was approved for the Sapphire Preffered $95 AF with a $9700 starting limit about a week ago.
Th
Congrats on the approval.
With the collections there might be an issue if you are a new Chase customer. Since you already had two cards, likely for a few years, that allows them to adjust their internal score with known good payment history.
When were the Freedom and Slate opened?
