Re: Give your worst credit card advice

More credit is ALWAYS better, so put in for EVERYTHING you come across because the worst that can happen is they say NO!

Put in lots of applications right before you apply for a mortgage. This way the lender can see that this is 'not your first rodeo.'

Keep your cards charged up near max so lenders will see that you actively use your available credit.

If a friend shows irresponsible spending habits, give him one of your cards to learn with. Smiley Surprised

Re: Give your worst credit card advice

Once you are aproved for one premium card, apply for every other premium card you have ever been interested in, rapid fire. That is exactly what I did Smiley Tongue. So many unessisary HPs and rejections.

From one new comer, this thread is very insulting because everyone does not do the same thing. I am just stating my opinion.

Yes the shopping cart reference was a little bad because alot of people do the shopping cart trick to avoid HP's. I really do not see th harm in that because inquiries cause your credit to take a nose dive

But AAoA hits cause even bigger nose dives. Smiley Happy

This is correct....Also, too many new accounts can spook your current creditors into AA panic.

Rapid Fire could be the name of a TV show where contestants have to apply for as many cards as they can in under 60 seconds, or who can get 10 approvals the quickest, etc. Smiley Very HappySmiley LOL

Why would you want only one mortgage?  More is better as you say!
