I don't carry a wallet.
I use a little metal business card holder instead, it has room for 4 cards and 2 business cards. I carry my ID, and an access card for my building so I only have room for two credit cards. I usually have my debit card and an amex, so I only carry 1 credit card, I'll swap the debit card for something else if I have cash and/or know I am going to buy something specific and want to use a different card.
I think carrying 1 credit card is probably on the low end for this forum.
I carry all my credit cards (see sig) with me at all times, plus my Chase/BofA/Discover CB checking debit cards.
Edit: I forgot to include my Ink Cash (not in sig)
Phsically in my wallet:
Chase Sapphire Preferred
AMEX BCP
Barclays Arrival+
US BAnk Business Edge Select
4/5 of my CC's stay in my wallet. The chase freedom stays at home because I don't use it's categories now that I have the SM. Even the BoA BRR stays in my wallet because of the BankAmeriDeals are often at stores/restaurants I like. Same with Discover deals even though I don't use it for its category bonuses. The chase freedom deal always seem to specify that bonuses are for online purchases, so home it stays.

But even when I had fewer and carried more, I never carried ALL my ccs. Always have at least one somewhere else so if your wallet gets lost or stolen, you have an emergency card.
One would think that with all the "grocery" shopping you do, you would be the one guy less concerned about emergencies... must be a Brit thing...
Anyway, I am a minimalist, myself, and I have no choice anyway since I use this wallet (never carry more than 3 cards and id, sometimes).
We only have the six CCs between us, so both my husband and I carry them all, along with our primary checking account debit card I do also have my business account debit card and our HSA debit card in mine. I don't think he carries his copies of those. But he carries our kids' insurance cards, so it's an equal trade off.

Compared to your sock drawer?
I suspect women on average will physically carry more cards around just because we typically carry larger wallets. I actually carry all of mine. Is that unusual?
I would carry all mine if I could lol.
I have around 15 cards all are in my Sig I think lol.
Discover it, Amazon Store card, Amex BCE, Chase Amazon Visa, Chase Freedom , Chase Sapphire, Chase Sapphire preferred, Chase Marriott, BestBuy Store, Citi Simplicity, Citi Thank you preferred, Capital one QS, Capital one Playstation, Bank of America MLB cash rewards and Amex Everyday card.
I have in my wallet besides my health insurance, ID, Debit, Metrocard which i need to use the Subway system in NYC and Costco card. My Amex Everyday ( might switch it out for the BCE) for my Amex card to shop at Costco , CSP, Bank of America MLB rewards card since it is my only Master card, Playstation card, Chase Freedom, Citi Thank you preferred card , Discover it card, and my Bestbuy Store card.
I have my Citi simplicity card with a Balance of $370 paying it off slowly since it only accounts for less then 10% of my Credit avaliable and 0% APR anyways.
Sock drawed cards are whatever i don't have in my wallet.

I never thought I'd say it, but that is a darn sexy wallet.

That thing is right up my alley!
Im going to have to check it out. I know the business card holders aren't intended to be used as a wallet and as a result I burn through 2-3 a year.
