I've been fortunate (pun intended haha) with Capital One. I waited almost 2 years post bankruptcy to apply with them and delt with cards anywhere from $300-$750 limit. Finally applied a few weeks ago and was approved for both the quicksilver and platinum at $3K each. So more than tripled my highest limit card, not only once, but TWICE! So they are A-OK in my book. Plus both are enrolled into the steps program so I very well could be seeing limits for $4,500-$5,000 each in the next 6 months.

This is great--congratulations!

Congrats! This is good to hear. Capital One's 'Steps Program' sounds great. I wonder how many other lenders have a similar program.

Re: What's in your wallet? Capital One Shame?

Capital One does give both good limits and good CLI if the numbers make sense.

I have $33,250 total CL between 3 QuickSilver cards.

I have only had these 3 accounts for 2 months - 14 months each.

I make almost $100 per month off of them in cash back.

I am very happy with QuickSilver and Capital One.

If I was filthy rich, less savy, and not a couponer, I would use exclusively the QS and citi DC. No need to worry about nuthin. No time wasting with looking things up, etc.

But for me, that is the rush of the deal! It is like legal trickery! lol

The thread is a year old. The information is a year old, and I highly doubt the original poster cares about the topic anymore.
