Just received my Amex, activated it. I'm looking around and familiarizing myself with my online account. Everytime I sign in, whether it be directly or via my password manager, I get a pop-up from amex saying: "To protect your account(s), we need you to re-authenticate your account with a temporary key. Please choose how you would like to receive your re-authentication key from the following options." Then I have to go to my email, come back, proceed.
Is this normal???
Sadly, this is normal. They used to do it a lot with me when I had the blue a few months ago. It's especially normal if you log in to your account on different devices, which I do (2 different ones) but once you authenticate, they will stop doing it. They might ask you again a few more times before they stop though but to answer your question, this is normal.
