Re: What’s your current daily driver?

Right now, the Amex Platinum of all things. It earns me practically nothing, but I don't care. It pays for my morning coffee just as well as any other card. It Just Werks.

Honestly, I think I'm just tired of the whole rewards game and need a break.

I Have Way Too Many of These.

American Express - No CLI or Appreciation Gift in 7 Years

Citibank - Handing Out Credit Limits Like Candy

Chase - Surprisingly, Still Tolerating My Credit-Chasing Ways

Bank of America - My Newest Bae.

Everyone Else.

CFU. But there's some occasional swapping- since my Discover is still within the Cash Match year, so 2% off category and 10% on category makes me switch rides

Discover It Cash Back. I’m still within the first year, so getting 2% on everything and 10% on bonus categories is awesome. I honestly wish this card would stay like this. I’m on pace to funnel around $47,000 through this card for the year. When the cash match happens, I’ll have $1300+ sitting there waiting on me.👍

Re: What’s your current daily driver?

I honestly keep 7 different cards in my wallet.
Cap1 Venture - Noncat spend (negative point balance from a refunded hotel stay)
BBP - Not sure why it's in my wallet, doesn't get any use besides tuition
Amex Gold - Dining
Amex Platinum - Not sure why it's in my wallet either as I only use it at home but flex
Discover - Rotating (Doesn't need to leave home this quarter)
Freedom - Rotating (Doesn't need to leave home this quarter)
Apple - Flex

Amex Gold is my daily driver. I use my Discover for 5% catagories, still in the first year so its technically 10%. I use my Quicksilver as a catch all if Amex isn't accepted.

Re: What’s your current daily driver?

I’m been SUB-chasing almost a year and a half straight with Chase so it’s hard to say what it will be next. It probably is a card I don’t currently carry.  I expect to get another few card SUBs before I garden for awhile. For past six months, it’s been mainly my Chase Marriott Bovoy Boundless and World of Hyatt which have given me a sweet $1650 in hotel stay SUBs. Smiley Happy

My new daily driver after any SUBs will probably be either the BofA Premium Rewards with Platinum Honors Preferred Rewards if I am approved (or) a 2% card like the PenFed Power Cash which I prefer over CITI DC or PayPal MC.  Once I spend down my accrued Ultimate Rewards some, I may also return some daily spend to CFU for future travel but I’m about tapped out on what I need for now. I do love the Chase Quadfecta though! The PR or PFPC will just give me a better cash-out capability than I have with Chase when I don’t want the travel.

*Edit*: Got the PenFed Power Cash Rewards in November 2019 and completed the $1500 spend for $100 SUB.  My target card for 2020 is still the BoA Premium Rewards and moving funds to qualify for Preferred Rewards Platinum Honors level.  For uncategorized spend, that would leave me four high-payout options:  PenFed PowerCash or Apple Card: on Apple Pay for straight cash-back at 2%, Chase FU at 2.25% on UR travel redemption, and BoA PR at 2.625% for straight cash-back.  (added 01/31/2020)

Discover all day. I'm getting the first year cashback match and my only other card just gives me 1% back.

Planning on trimming the AFs?

I'm likely to close Savor and downgrade BCP back to BCE. I'm even questioning the value of CSR with Amex improving travel insurance.
