What should I be able to apply for

Hey guys- New guy here looking to see what I can apply for- Had my own business for awhile and starting fresh after years of living the good life- I've got one USAA cc that has been charged off and am making payments with a collection agency yet it is not showing on my cc report- I had a cap one card that was charged off and I have just paid it off and it has rolled off of my report.  I've applied for a fingerhunt account and have been approved for $600 in addition I have applied for a open sky card and waiting for approval.  Currently my credit score is 623 with experian, whenI applied previously my score was 590 with the cap one showing as a deroagatory account and it was denied.  Should I try again or try a different card?

Maybe try for a Barclay Rewards card.

1. Cancel Open Sky... you don't need it!

2. Don't use fingerhut if you can help it and you might even want to cancel.

3. Have you googled "Chase pre-qual" and checked if you are pre-qualified?

4. Have you gone to capitalone.com and checked for "Prequalified offers" under the credit card tab?

5. Apply to discover card.

I don't want to just recommend random cards -- what are you looking for in a card? What kind of benefits? Of course, you won't have the pick of the litter at this point, but we can at least steer you in some type of direction.

Re: What should I be able to apply for

Well I got denied because capital one is still showing on my credit report even though it has dropped off of my experian- I tried to call them and they mentioned that the cap one that is now paid off is still showing and in addition my usaa is still showing as well.  Any help would be greatly considered- Any cards that just pull experian or should I try and pull a transunion credit report to see if it pulls the cap one off.

please go check the link and see what comes back (Congrats message is what you are looking for)

Go check the chase pre-qual link as that's EX only.

This may not be what you want to hear, but you have a mortgage that will help your score if paid on time every single month. I think your wisest course of action would be to pay this on time and just wait for your score to increase. In a few years you should qualify for premium cards...time and consistent payments heal all. Many people get right back in credit trouble because they seek out risky and expensive short cuts!!! Life can be lived without credit cards for a few years.

Discover will be a HP to either EQ most likely or maybe TU.

Discover pre-qual online is worthless, if you receive mail, it seems solid.
