I have had my Discover IT (previously Motiva) since may 2012. 2 years and still stuck at a 1,000$ CL. I pay in full every month and run about 2,000 through the card. My statement balance is always zero. All SP Cli request deny me and I'm at a 690 TU fico

take the hp and ask them to match your highest CL.
then be transferred to underwriting when the computer counters or denies with the hp and speak to them about your delima of despite all your work of trying to build relationship (your $2k use a month) they are not seeming to work with you and you feel you need to build your business elsewhere if that is the case... last chance!

I haven't had my Discover IT as long as you and i haven't been able to get an cli without an HP either. and my TU is 807 according to discover fico score i get from them monthly.
I am just going to spend whenever its 5% with them , and see if anything improves after an year. If they are still stubborn about doing an sp cli.
Thanks , I can wait it out another year. I have the cash back checking too and I like their services but they are a hard nut to crack!
The combo of the derog still on your report, util and possibly even DTI on paper is likely the cause. Like others have said, I'd get your util down and try after that. Good luck.
