What was the last account you closed and why?

Just curious about which card is closed the most. Me; HSBC.Reason: refused to lower apr of 14.99 rate after 3 years 6k limit. But oddly enough I have the GM Flex Card at 16k at 7.9% 16K limit. Can't merge.

Re: What was the last account you closed and what was the reason for that action

The last one I closed was a WG&R account that I opened just to get 0% financing on my recliner. I closed it before I was obsessed with scores but I think I would have closed it anyway. I've since added 2 more cards and a car loan and that's plenty for me to keep track of.

HSBC were the last 2 revolving accounts I closed-
It had an AF and a $500 CL

The other 3 cards I closed - I managed to get the CL's re-allocated to other cards.

I closed my Orchard Card at 8 months. When I got it I thought I needed it for a rebuilder but it turns out my scores were already high enough I could do better. I closed it because it just left a bad taste in my mouth. Target is next. The rest are just fine.

Re: What was the last account you closed and why?

first premier- high af, low cl (250)

next on the chopping block (early 09)- orchard- same reason- high af, low cl (600)

those subprimes were helpful in rebuilding, but they're not growing w/me, the AFs are NOT offset by say fabulous cash back (or ANY) rewards, so really, there's no reason to keep them open.  have already lined up replacement ccs to cover loss in credit from closing the subprimes

First Premier. Is there really an explanation needed for this one?

Capital One. I closed it because they held my payments too long. I pay online through their website and they told me it wouldn't clear until 10 business days (2 weeks), so basically I only had the card usage for two weeks out of the month. Even 1st premier and the other sub primes don't hold my payments that long. I only had it for two months. It wasn't going to grow with me anyway and my scores are 691ex, 689tu, and 659eq so I can replace it with a way better card now with a much higher limit than the $300 they gave me.

I closed Amex Gold on 8/30. I am tired of paying the 150 annual fee for a card that I spend maybe 150-200 per month tops with. I actually converted the card to a no fee Amex Blue.

Orchard 6 months ago. It was a rebuilder. Low CL. No perks. It served its purpose.

Lane Bryant store card. I can't use the card and the refused to switch it to a Fashion Bug card.  So I got rid of it.  It was an older card, so I'm going to hate it when it falls of my reports, but it would have been closed eventually due to inactivity, since I can't use it.
