Amex is the best. Prior high limit was with Discover $6,000 and already had a 4k and 5k card with Amex. My third card with them they offered me 15k to start out. AMEX is by far the best of all creditors.

Actually I received 2 at the same time from US Bank. They gave me my Flexperks card for 12K, and a LOC for 15K. So I lucked out.

The most you will get is 3x your current limit. You really should read up on the American Exprss 3X CLI thread thats listed on the stickies. It will help you a lot especially with the questions from the other thread

I'm halfway there but unfortunately no 10K limit cards. I'd love to have one someday and maybe Diners Club might be my first next year. Depending on what happens with my Gold Delta Skymiles card and whether I can get another CLI on to about 8K or something and when the card is old enough, I would plan to move the limit over to my BCE so that could also potentially be my first 10K limit card too.
