No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
My first card was a USAA Platinum Mastercard with a 7.75% APR. Same rate for purchases, BT's, and CA's, and if I do the CA into my USAA checking account, they don't charge a fee, which I think is a great deal.
I believe the starting limit was $2k back in Feb 2013, it's currently 6k.
My first card was JCP in 1988. Don't remember the limit.
Barclays Visa when I was 18 and they still had actual banks here in California.
I'm dating myself, but it was Daniel's Jewelry Store (don't know if they are still in existence). Don't remember the limit, but it was 1984/85.

Yes they still exist. I just bought a watch from them last year
They are reporting as a revolving account on my credit report even though they don't extend full credit. They make you put something down and say your credit is the balance. They were one of my first cards too. ![]()
Cross Country (I can't remember if it was Visa or Mastercard) haha

Wow. It probably was just as you say back then. I think I used them for 1 purchase, went away to college and piled up a bunch of "regular" credit cards.
