Re: What was your first card?

Mine was the Walmart card when I was 19. Got approved for a $500 limit with no credit. I was in college and worked for the company at the time. I learned a lot from that card. Taught me a lot about how credit can easily get out of hand. I promised myself it would never happen again. I now am very very picky on how I use my cards. I always pay them off and only use them for rewards. Now I'm 22 and working towards a 800 credit score wishing 12 months time Smiley Happy

Texaco Gas Card 1972 followed by a BankAmericard and a Northwestern National Bank Southwest MasterCard. Then a Green AX, Gold AX and a Diners Club Charge Card and a Carte Blanche Charge Card all in 1973.

Re: What was your first card?

my first card, capital one platinum visa with 200 credit limit, then it got auto cli couple months later to 300, and it stayed that way for 11 years. now it's all grown up with limit of 3300. With no annual fee and okay credit limit, not getting rid of this card.

Re: What was your first card?

JC Penny 1983, CL $200. I loved this card. Back then you could throw quite a few things on it before you were maxed. With no myFico and no internet I screwed this card royally. But it was fun while it lasted..
