Re: What was your worst card?

Someone mentioned Cross Country Bank... they renamed themselves and are still around with the subprime cards as Applied Bank...

Re: What was your worst card?

I would have to say Target. $300 starting limit only bumped up a measly $200 where it stood for year and half. Decided to cancel after never getting upgraded to mastercard and of course no auto Luv.

Re: What was your worst card?

Way back in the late 90s and early 2000s, I had Orchard Bank, Household Bank, Providian (PayPal MC) and First Premier. In fact, my only two good cards were First Union and Amex Optima. Didn't think about the APR and the largest limit I had was $2,500 on the Amex.

Now, it's got to be my Chase Slate, which is likely thanks to the Providian - WaMu - Chase purchases. It's only got a $500 limit while I now get approved for much larger limits.

No credit news is good credit news!

Re: What was your worst card?

At this point I dont have a worst card.. I have a trio of cards each with their dissapointments.... First up... Blispay... the No CLI thing is really a pain since i do use this card.. Customer service is.. underwhelming and kinda nonexistant.......   But that 6 mo interest free is very handy and 2% with no limitations..   The other two cards that are dissapointing... Chase and Chase... Still both at their starting limits... 5200 for the freedom ... 4500 for the amazon and the amazon did NOT get a  CL after opening such as some folks reported.. but the kicker is the crappy APR bracket on the AZ Prime.. 21.49 now... If i even got a decent tier it could have been tolerable for an occasional purchase.. but at 21.49 ts a PIF card... Also don't find the Freedom as useful now... Rather deal with Discover....

Re: What was your worst card?

See this where YMMV with this card. My Discover IT card has gone from a $2500 SL to a limit of $16000.

Definitely First Premier with a starter limit and monthly fees.

Same here, my first card ever was a providian.  200 SL, then they added services to the card, which would increase my limit once i paid it off. i got it upto 2300 with a cli, and i think it was a 99AF and 33.49% apr.    Was sold to chase, and they closed it. Told me i wasn't good enough to convert it over.  I had a perfect history and 0 balance and they just cut me off. I blacklisted them and will always be never/24
