Re: When did Cap One stop sending out BT checks?

Thanks Saeren! I didn't have any offers. They did offer to transfer balances with no fee at 22%. Lol
That's basically a big fat no!😂

They must not like us.

Oh well, I have better cards. I only ever need a BT once a year at the most — Disco and NFCU got it covered. Smiley Very Happy

They definitely play favorites, but it seems to be at the card level.  Smiley Frustrated

Here's the offer on my Quicksilver WEMC that is currently carrying a balance from a promo check I cashed last August (2% fee, 18 months):

(note the expiration on the 'good' offer is today)

Here's the offer on my Quicksilver Visa Signature, which I've never used for a BT or promo:

And here's what I have on my Savor, which I have used for a no-fee regular-APR 'shuffle' a few years ago, but otherwise no promos:

There's no rhyme or reason as to why they seem to "like" the Quicksilver WEMC, which was only swiped enough to get the bonus, but they don't show any love for the Quicksilver Visa Sig, which does actually get swipes ($300-$1k each month via AU).  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The Savor is an old HSBC/Orchard Bank castaway so there's little surprise they don't send any offers to it.

Why would a person take ANY BALANCE TRANSFER at their going Purchase APR Rates? You would loose the house on the interest rates! Years back when I had Cap1 Cards they had some really good BTs (before 2009) with all of mine 0% and a fee of 3%. Discover comes through for me every time with 0% and 2% fees for 12 months and it has helped me with home improvements (yes, I work the repay so it will be a $0 balance before the offer expires). UncleB ... can't imagine people wanting these offers. In truth FNBO likes to offer similar rates depending on the credit card. Maybe as the lender world grows more cautious, BTs are being NIPPED in the BUD (for all you flower types).

Yeah, my daily driver is my Savor. I’ve gotten only one BT offer in that account, back in 2016 I think as a QS.

My Venture is the one that I have had multiple BT offers on, though I haven’t had one since 2017.....until a month ago.I guess they were waiting for me to pay down my last BT lol.
