Once it's activated is that when it begins?
I'm guessing that it varies--some may use the date it was approved, others the date the card was activated, etc.
Regardless, you can request a different date if the due date you're given doesn't work for you. This can usually be done online, as well as by phone.
I think it's one of those system algorithms. I app'd for Amex Plat and was approved late on June 30th. I received my temporary card info that night, and my card on July 2nd. I confirmed (activated) my card once I received it on the 2nd. My first statement closed on July 11th with my first payment due date being August 5th. I don't recall every receiving a first statement that fast.
I'm going for the CSP but my property tax bill will not be generated until mid Oct. Since I have 90 days to spend 4K I was wondering does it start from activation or approval?

As far as the 90-day clock, it starts when your account is officially approved, not when the card is activated.
Some lenders like Citi, for example, allow a few extra days to fulfill the SUB (although it's not publicly advertised), but the majority of lenders stick to their actual timeframe from account approval.
Oh, you mean when does the clock start for obtaining the SUB? I would imagine with approval, but will let someone who's more familiar answer that. I've always met my SUB well before the time period ended. Can't you just make an early property tax payment?
In the particular case of CSP the Chase app will show you the exact date you need to spend the $4,000 by. For me the 90-day clock started on the approval date, and I had to wait a few days to receive the physical card.

I'm in CA and there's a PIN that is needed to process and it changes.
Oops a PIN is only needed for echeck. I can get the CSP now and hope by Oct 1 I will know the amt that's due via the website. Will the in-branch offer be extended??
I read on doctor of credit that the in-branch CSP offer ends on July 17th.
