When emailing a CEO to ask for a CLI What all should you put in the email? Any suggestions welcome!
Also, all of you who have done this, were you carrying a balance on your card at the time? What was your score? Were you successful?
Thanks so much, everyone here is so helpful. It really is amazing.
As far as personal information they usually just need your name and a phone number, I have never emailed my full account number
Be professional. Remember, no body wants to read a essay providing the same information that could have been covered in a paragraph. Be as short and possible while providing a clear reason for the CLI. It also might not hurt to throw in a compliment, but also state that you are not satisfied with your current standing within the company.
I am currently carrying a high balance on my card. When I get it paid back down I am going to try this.
Include
Name, phone, reason, CLI, waive AF, PC, add rewards etc etc
And of course the loyal customer love me card act
Painless trust me
When I get it paid down I'm going to try.
What kind of reason are they looking for? Like "I need a new fridge, please give me a $2000 CLI" or "I have been a loyal customer and I would like a CLI for $2000" reason?
I went with loyal customer, love my card but it doesn't fit my spending due to the limit...blah blah blah
And of course I spend responsibly and would never go over a UTL of 30% so in order to use it more I need X amount
X=5K in my case
I haven't had the card a full year yet. I am mainly wanting the CLI to have more available credit. Right now between 5 cards I only have $1950 total available credit.
I am creeping up on the 600 mark score wise. My improvement has been very very slow. GW's and DV's and the like just aren't working out for me. My biggest improvement I feel like has been my CC's and a couple things that have fallen off recently.

I believe something along the lines of. With my planed uses for this card, at my current limit, I would have to make "X" amount of payments per month, and that is a complete hassle. I really want to use this Capitol One card for a majority of my CC purchase, but do to the limit, I am having to spread those purchases across other cards. They arent going to want to miss out on that use. Atleast that is my (limited) experience, But it worked for me.
