When should I request a CLI with barclay?
Conventional wisdom says wait 6 months for auto CLI, then request one. I have had mine for 3 statements and requested a CLI on Christmas day and got the 10 day message. Called today and they told me my request was denied but NO credit report was pulled. The analyst offered to pull a report and try to get me an increase but I declined. She said 6 months of responsible use would help my chances. $500 limit with 632 TU FICO.
I just doubled my limit 2 days ago by pushing the luv button after the 4th statement cut. I went from 1500 to 3000. I put some heavy usage on the card. It was opened in August and I have opened 4 new tradelines since getting the card which is conventionally believed to be a bad move with Barclays but they didnt seem to mind. My credit score has improved DRASTICALLY since getting the card so I'm sure that was a factor (no baddies reporting at all). I havent seen a HP on Transunion yet for the increase but I'm waiting a few more days to confirm. Others reported getting HP after pushing the luv button so YEMV. If you cant take a HP and dont want to risk it wait for 6 month mark and expect some auto luv.

+1
And you did well MissCredit9
Ah okay. I am almost 4 months in so I'll wait to hit the 6 month mark and then if there is no auto cli I'll hit the luv button hopefully there won't be a HP but oh welllll.
I have gotten a CLI every 6 months since getting mine. I was denied when I applied had to call to get approved. They have been good to me since. I have had the card 18 months started at $1000.
edit: all CLI were auto!

What was your payment history like ie. more than minimum? What util did you keep on card?

If you submit the CLI request online or chat with a CSR, then it will likely result in HP, as others have confirmed. IMO, wait for the account to age and see if it becomes elegible for an auto-CLI.
Our scores are similar, and I also have this card. I called after 2 months of having a 750 limit and was denied. He said that I have too many new accounts, and that within 4-6 months of having the card open doubling mu cl wouldn't be a problem.
When I was first approved, and tried for a higher limit, they went off the most recent pull. When I called the backdoor number last week, they did a hard pull on TU only. I live in GA.

IMO, I would would heed their advice until the account has aged sufficiently to be elegible for a CLI. Otherwise, you'll risk another HP with no guarantee of a CLI.
