When to app and what to app for (prime card??)

Couple of questions! We just cleared UW for our mortgage (yay) Score took a hit with pull so it's below 640 again, however....we plan on letting the mortgage report for a few months before APPing anyways.

There is one unpaid CO from 2005, set to age off in 4 months. My fico estimates a 100 point increase once this is gone since it's factoring into utilization.

I'm assuming it's best to wait til after it falls off to app for any prime card? I'm also assuming that the score would go well over 700 at that point with a completely clean history and few months of mortgage history?

What would be the best prime card at that point to try for? The only other card is a Walmart card, so there's not a ton of revolving history.

Is the fico score the biggest factor? or will the lack of revolving history hurt the chances?

Goal (we made it!!)- Over 640 middle by 5/15

Absolutely WAIT until that CO falls-off.

Keep an eye on all 3 CRs and, when it clears, go crazy. Grats on the house.
