Discover Card periodically evaluates credit lines for a possible increase; however, we do not generally increase the credit line on accounts that have been open for less than three months. If you are still interested in a credit line increase after three months please contact us again and we would be happy to submit your request at that time."
Im checking my statements now to see exactly when I got my first CLI....
...Looks like mine was just short of 3 months, and I think they did mention that but said if I take the HP a week or so wouldnt matter. Its good to know though you dont have long to go and I'm sure you'll get something decent at the 3 month mark even if it does take an HP.

Thanks! I did only try chat, so maybe that was my fault. I already specified in that chat when I had opened the account, so I can tell it's a canned answer.
ME: I opened the card a little less than a month ago
Discover: "I am showing you have been with us less than three months"
...oh well. Wouldn't recommend the chat for that haha.

Yes, thanks for checking. I'll put it in my calendar to ask!
My sixth statement recently cut. Discover's last SP of my TU is an 805. I asked for a CLI and they wanted to do an HP. I have a $1000 limit. To the sock drawer you go for eternity.
I tried after my 5th statement for a sp cli via chat (since I can't use the button online...stupid), but they wanted to do a hp so I declined. They recommended that I wait 3 months before trying again, but i don't have to right? I'm going to wait to see what I look like after the 6th statement cuts in ~10 days and then maybe ask again for a sp..
