Chase is making me mad. Why are they so strict? Mine has been $3K Since Feb 6, 2015
It is better not to get frustrated and simply adopt spend on the card. For me Freedom does not get any general spend and for the 5% categories the limit is sufficient. Should Chase want some of the general spend they need to come closer to my other cards but I am not willing to take a double pull again and end up with a 500$ CLI and that is how much I got on a past CLI. That got me so mad that I applied for a new card and got 16K on Marriott and immediately transferred 1K over to Freedom. That was a way better deal but beats all my logic. I will never ask for a CLI on my Freedom again unless my APR should ever get adjusted. Like this it shows how Chase views my profile and I can live with it.
I opened my Freedom card in Oct. 14, They just sent me a no pull CLI about a week ago. It showed up 2 weeks before my intro APR ran out. It kind of seems like their plan is to give me a higher limit, hoping I'll mismange it, now that I may pay interest. But I always PIF multiple times a month. So I'm happy to get it.
so in other words if I wanted a rotating card I should just go with Discover?

WOW....well congrats. I'm still in the APR intro stage so we'll see. I'll keep an eye on it and see if it changes before that period runs out.

I think so....I'm reading here that the're very generous with CLI's. I will get one but not now, I'm gardening.
yeah I'm waiting until May to apply since I did apply in Dec with a credit score of 619 (lol) but now now my scores are all near 700.
yep imo discover is better than freedom when it comes to CLI. mine have increased from 6k to 10k to 13k to 16k since june of last yr (7mos). all SP but the last one wasn't instant. got the 2 day msg. i'll probably click the luv button again in 2 wks to see if 30/31 days CLI really applies to me.
if your freedom limit is really bugging you, which was in my case, just transfer/reallocate some of your limits from a different chase card. i did it with my chase aarp - transferred 5k to my freedom. btw chase aarp is still running the $200 back / $500 spend in 3 mos.
oh... and I forgot to mention the controversy on my Freedom. I have a standard APR of 23,24% and I thought their internal score shows me as high risk but then I keep getting the 0% promo offers for BT at a 1% BT fee. This somehow does not match my logic but hey I do not complain about that. So whatever happens with Chase Freedom is hard to predict... but this should not prevent anybody to apply for this card. It is after all a really nice card

Yes, no FTF and much more liberal with CLI and lowering apr in my experience.
