Where are my MR points?

So I have the PRG and yesterday the 2nd statement cut. I hit the bonus spend a couple dates after my first statement cut and I can see where I have 27913 MR points pending.

I was hoping by today I’d see the points. I’m wanting to book a hotel and use my points towards that. The price for the hotel has already gone up almost 40 more a night and don’t want to wait any longer before it goes up more. Any idea when I’ll see the points?

You can contact AMEX customer service and ask them to post the points early if you need to make the booking asap. You might have to HUCA a few times but it's definitely possible.

 My points (from the previous statement) usually post a day or two after my statement date.  Also worth mentioning that depending on the hotel brand, it may be worth a points transfer instead of Amex Travel to get more than 1 cent per MR.

Yeah I’ve been trying to do the math on it. I’ll be staying at the Anaheim Hilton and if I transfer to Hilton I’ll have 55826 points and it’s 40k a night there. So I think I’m going to book through Amex travel since I’ll end up with 2x MR points on what I pay plus 75 credit because it’s part of the hotel collection. And hopefully I can get an upgraded room. We’ll see how it goes.

For some reason I think the weekend interferes with it. Although, for some reason, I got a "points accelerated" where my points posted right after statement cut. Typically it is a day or two after the statement.Maybe even business days?
