Where should I go?

Currently I have a score of 633 on all 3 CBAs.  I have two unsecured credit cards at the moment with Orchard Bank and Credit One Bank but I need something more.  The credit limits are about $500 on each card but I would like more options to raise my credit.  I have 3 charge offs thought and I am scared to take any hits for an INQ.  Can anyone recommend something where I might get an credit limit above $1000?

Hey Viperix!  Welcome to the forums.

Is that score (633) a FICO?  If so, I'd recommend developing a relationship with a local CU.  They are probably your best bet.  You get the chance to speak with a personal loan officer to explain the charge offs and such.   Otherwise, I'd try asking for CLIs with the current cards you have.  Orchard and Credit One will both give you the opportunity for CLIs every 6 months.  Good Luck! Starting Score: 642
Current Score: EQ 773, EX 780, TU 777 (All FICO)
Goal Score: 800+

Cards: NFCU Flagship 50K, DC 30K, BCP 28.6K, Arrival+ 25K, Citi DP 22.8K, CSR 20.5K, TotalRewards 25K, QuickSilver 20K

Re: Where should I go?

I would try to get those 3 charge-offs taken off and grow your relationships with your current cards in the meantime.

Anything you might apply for will probably get denied or given a low credit limit. If any card from GE would give you a chance, they are a good option because they tend to grow.

BTW, those scores you posted, where did you get those from?

Because chances are that if they weren't lender pulled, then you have FAKOs.

Re: Where should I go?

The scores are pulled directly using USAA.  I am positive they're not FAKO's which are something I have been reading about lately.

Should I look into a Captial One card?  I looked at the pre qualify and I can get the Platium or Cash Rewards but I don't want to be denied. Taking a hit on all 3 and being denied is not what I am looking for.

Actually, those scores are FAKO's.  Pull  your EQ score from here to get an idea of where you are.  Those scores from USAA are useless, your real scores could be wildly different up or down.  Pull the EQ score here to get an idea of where you really stand.  Assuming your scores are in that range I would go for a GEMB account. It will likely not be $1k but it will grow.  If you want a credit card Capitol One is your best bet.  Three INQ's certainly hurts but is your best bet.  Again, it's likely not going to be $1k, more likely $500 and in the credit steps program.

These are called "PLUS" scores and are not used by any lenders.

I would almost suggest getting a secured card with a 2k deposit if you have that kind of cash laying around...   Otherwise, cap1 is a good option, as long as you don't apply for a card which charges an annual fee.

Re: Where should I go?

Getting a secured  card with larger limit is your best option.   Since you have 2 cards with Orchard that will soon become Capital One, you may want to wait and see how that pans out.

If you mean you are using USAA Credit Monitoring, they are definitely FAKO's.  If you mean, they were pulled by USAA as a result of your applying for a loan, credit card or something from them, they probably are FICO's
