Good point. I guess that needs some clarification.

Yeah, but USAA only pulls EQ as a general rule except for a mortgage application. Also I think almost anyone would've stated "USAA pulled" or "pulled by USAA" rather than "I pulled." It's a subtle semantic difference, but the poster was on point here.

so I went ahead with apping for a Cap One card. I was able to get a $1000 CL but the app dropped my score by 30 points. Yay?
Your best bet would be to garden for 6-12 months and then apply for additional card(s). That would increase your chances of not only being approved, but also of receiving more generous credit limits. Make sure you pay every bill on time. No new apps for a bit then you will have more options within a year
Yay is right. Congrats! A 1k credit limit from capital one is quite generous for them. Is it in the credit steps? You know what it will go to next?
Your score dropping now isnt a big deal unless you want to continue looking for credit, which would be a bad idea given your current rebuilding situation.
6 months from now your score will have recoverd from the inquiry and new account hit. Continue to garden, and work on your charge offs and you will be ready to sniff the 700 club.
With this new credit card I am going to Garden until I hit around the 700 mark. Hopefully I can get these chargeoffs removed but these companies are more private >.<
