I have a good credit report, no late payments or anything like that.
I have a Car Loan that I will have paid off in August (really early). Two (or three?) credit cards, one is a Citi Platinum Card, a Lane Bryant card (that I will be closing, and has only been opened a short period of time) and a Paypal Business Card. I also have MANY student loans that will be pout of grace period in June.
I want to build my credit score and get a good rewards card. My APR on my Citi card is at 9.240% and all cards have a zero balance.
BTW, what is gardening?

Gardening is taking a stand to no apps and letting your accounts grow and gain positive history while gaining CLI's and letting INQ's fall off.
And welcome to the forums!!!!

I would advise against closing the Lane Bryant card, it has no Annual Fee, and let it grow, even if i lives in the sock drawer. it will help your Average Age of Account and will add a bit to your Utilization score, Closing it can only hurt. If you don't use it they may close it anyway. But either way it helps your credit file.
Welcome.
What rewards card are you thinking about? Amex Blue Cash Express (BCE)? (1/2/3% cash back)
Your Score is solid although many like amex are inquiry sensitive and they like to see solid AAoA (Average Age of Accounts) and low Utilization.

+1
I honestly have no idea. I would like a card to soley use for gas purchases and pay off montly.
I've had my Citi card for a few years...I want to say since 2008. My Lane Bryant card I just got last year. I had a Discover card back in 06 for a few years...no late problems or anything, but for some reason I closed it! Now finding out how stupid of me that was.
What is the best place to monitor your credit score & find out what's on it? I need to figure out where all my student loans are. I use Credit Karma right now just to kinda see where I stand. And I checked myfico today with the free trial, got the score, but that's all I saw.
What's a CLI & how do I find out how many Inquires I have?
CLI == Credit Limit Increase
check out http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/User-Guidelines-General/Common-Abbreviations/m-p/88458 it will help you make sense of the alphabet soup everyone here seems to type constantly ![]()
Should I request a CLI on my Citi Card? It has been a looooooooong time since I've asked for one. My current credit limit is $6,780 for my citi card. My LB card is at 1000, but I'm just going to stick it in my Sock drawer.
Forgot to mention. I had a Care Credit Card, never used it and they closed it last year.
Edit: You can tell them how much you'd like it to increase, and then you enter how much you make a year.
How much of a request should I ask for?
