So I would like to know if someone could shed some light. If possible I would like to open a credit card with prime lender. The only card I have from a prime lender (bofa/amex) is an AU. Here is what I have.
Fico scores: EQ: 681 TU:675
AAoA about 4 years (recently opened macy's, chevron, and hsbc)
utli: 15% (should go down to around 5% by end of month)
AMEX CC (AU)
Bofa CC (AU) $13k
HSBC houshold $750
Macy's $600
Chevron gascard $300
No lates and all in good standing
Baddies:
BofA and HSBC cards were sent to collections
3 CA
All of these were around 2003 and should start falling off between the next 1-2 years.3
I do'nt care about AAoA cause I just went back to school and won't be buying a house or any big purchase for at least 3-4 years. I can let these account age.

is there a way to find out which credit unions in my area are more financially stable or most likely to approve for new credit cards?
I don't know about the latter, but you can look up the former here:
