We have 3 Citi cards - one of which dates back to the mid 1980s - but the only one that gets any use is our Citi Dividend World MasterCard, which rebates 2% on grocery & drug store purchases & 1% on everything else. Unfortunately, the rewards are capped at $300 per year. This used to be our most heavily used card until a little over a year ago, when we got our PenFed Platinum Visa. PenFed's rewards are more generous & are not capped.
We also have a Citi Diamond Preferred Rewards MasterCard. Even though it has a decent limit - $16K - we almost never use it because it pays ThankYou Points instead of cash rebates. With our long, spotless credit history, we have all the high-limit cards we need. At this point, we're interested only in cards that pay decent rewards. Citi's reward programs are pretty weak, IMO.

Have they ever cut your CL for not using the cards?
No, they haven't. I'll give Citi credit for that. We also have an AT&T Universal Card, which is a Citi card, that I buried so deep in my desk drawer that I forgot all about it for over a year. Citi never took any kind of AA against us. So now I charge a book of stamps to it every couple of months.
If you really want a card from Citi, the Platinum Select is a pretty good choice. And you can make online payments to any Citi card from an outside (non-Citibank) deposit account.

I am a Citi-card member, and it's going on two years now doing business with them. I currently have the platinum select mastercard which started with an initial CL of $750, 12.99% fixed APR out the gate. But since then it has grown to almost 5k to date. I have had no problems with citi and they are generous with CLI. I hope this helps.
