Are your scores FICO or FAKO?
My suggestion is that you wait for those baddies to fall off, your current account to age, and any inquiries to age as well. When those baddies fall off your score will jump and you will have much better oppotunities.
walmart and target are the easy ones
+1
Apply for Walmart Discover and Discover Amazon. You will defintely get approved. I have a credit history of just 8 months and recently applied for Chase Freedom and Amex Costco both of which got denied. Few people in this board advised me to apply for Walmart discover and Amazon which I applied this week and both of them were approved with CL of 700 and 400 respectively.

is the visa sig an au card?
as to the OP
i would suggest a walmart card(especially if you shop there), even if you got the store card they grow with you, and in that point stay away from target, as they usually give you a small line and it will almost never be increased
also is it only that one late? i would send a gw and state your case of why you were late or just say i was young and dumb and now that im older im looking to move forward in life, and this late is holding me back, and point out you have been perfect for the last 2+ years.
there is a sticky in one of the sub-forums for a sample gw letter
good luck!
p.s. also when you have a walmart discover/store card with estatements you also get a free tu08' fico every month.
