I just recently closed on my first home after rebuilding my credit.  My bankcard scores are all in the 660 - 680 range.  I have one retail card with 28 years history and 1 capital one secured card with 4 months history.  I have done the pre-qual for Chase and it comes up with the Freedom and Slate for me and Capital One shows two cards as well.  What are my chances of getting one of these cards and what score do they actually pull?  Is it the FICO 8 or the bankcard version?  Which credit card company is the best?

The convential wisdom is that both of those companies pre-quals are solid, so that if you were to apply for all 4 at once you might get all 4.

Capital One is more user friendly and less likely to do something to hurt you someday.

Chase is more prestigious.
