Which card to apply?

If anyone can tell me based on my would be updated credit report if it would be a good idea to apply amex cc or chase and not get denied? would want to get a card with high CL so I can close some cards with annual fee (HSBC, WF fin) Currently EQ at 681. total revolving credit limit $13850. with balance as of today at $6,404. I paid my balance on my cc's that would bring my total balance to $2500 spread out by next month when it updates the system. never been late on any payment, 8 yrs credit history but have 4 -6 inquiries for the past 6 mos. I haven't received any score alert so I guess it hasn't reported yet. was denied credit by amex 2 mos ago. Im just waiting for my score to go up and do the app again.

Re: Which card to apply?

For an optimal score, get each individual balance under 10% and get your total balance under 10% of your total CL. Wait a month for it to report and you'll see a score bump. You'll see a bump from your last payments, but it'll go up even further.

Make sure your settings on SW are all set (target score, etc.).

ALSO, make sure your balances read $0 on half of your TLs.
