I have been thinking of getting another card as a "just in case" card from another lendor. Longer term I like high limits and good rewards.
Three scores currently at: 758, 773, 785
Current cards/limits are:
Chase Freedom: $25k
Chase Sapphire Preferred: $26k
Bank of America Cash rewards: $25k
American Express Blue Sky: $25k
No baddies, no other loans except a mortgage.
Here is what I would, but nothing is a requirement:
EMV chip
No forex fees
intro APR rate at 0%
Rewards (cash, travel)
The Blue Sky rewards are weak but I would always like to keep an Amex.
Chase has the best rewards but I would like cards from a different lendor to spread out my exposure.
I keep the BoA card since it is my oldest account and also since the BT offers are consistent, excellent, and the direct deposit limit is right up to the full $25k.
Cards I like:
BoA Travel Rewards. Does anyone have both or know if the BT and direct deposit offers are identical to the Cash rewards? This is the only reason I keep the BoA card now.
Citi Simplicity -just for BT and 18 months no interest, but then would likely change to a ThankYou Premier (is this possible?)
I was actually just approved for the Discover IT. If the Discover limit is too low I'll likely just app for another card.
Any other suggestions welcome!
